It's the Field of 32.

Once again, we are competing with a college from Utah. This time it will be Utah Valley State.

Earlier this year, we were matched up against BYU in the championship round of the "NCAA 6th Fan" contest.

Second round voting ends September 15.

Looks like VMI is the new BYU. They have an enrollment of around 1600 yet racked up ~83K votes last round against Texas. They must be using this contest as a means for the cadets to work off their demerits. The VMI/GWU contest looks like a real barn burner this week. Or is it nothing but a big "facade"? Regardless, never underestimate the power of a military organization when their horses are all pulling in the same direction, right Rock?

I should have said "bot burner" instead of barn burner. Apparently one for sure and maybe both VMI and GWU had robotic machines voting forcing the contest organizer to reset their votes to 0 yesterday and change the "rules" for their contest to only one vote per hour. This contest is far worse than the previous one. At least the NCAA had a reputation to maintain in its 6th Fan contest.

What do you think Rock, is this a worthwhile cause or are there much bigger fish to fry? I see the Bison cast hardly a vote early on and now this week they are hosting their 2nd episode of ESPN Game Day within a year. I think I know what you would say if you were here.

This contest is a way to get your name mentioned.

How many people have heard of Utah Valley State before this contest ???? I'm betting that the answer would be close to zero.

I do remember that Western did play Utah Valley State in a Men's basketball game a few years ago.

We need to keep voting.

Utah Valley State has finally started voting in large numbers.

VOTE!! VOTE!! VOTE!!

For our first-round battle with SIU-C, an appeal for votes was published on the University's Facebook page and on the Athletics' Facebook page. We need to do that again.

Second-round voting continues today.

I am surprised that no mention of the second-round has been made on the University's Facebook page or on the Athletics' Facebook page. Both of those had mentions of our first-round battle with SIU-C. That helped us overcome a 3,000 vote deficit to win the first-round.
