We are facing yet another first-team conference player today in Hernandez.  If he gets to the charity stripe a lot, it will probably be a long day for us.  When  you face a good scorer like a Minix or Hernandez, you really have to make a decision before the game starts.  Do you try to shut him down a bit or do you lock down on the other 4?  Tough call.  We need a confidence booster W heading into final week before tournament.

Did anybody catch what Knox did to get this second technical foul?

Got a bit too close for comfort at the end but we hang on for the big W.

I would not want to play these guys in our opening game of tournament in Evansville (their own backyard) but there is a good chance that will happen.

I would like to know exactly how they come up with their attendance numbers. I've been to two games physical in person this season (home games against SEMO and Morehead St) as well as have watched a majority of the conference games on ESPN+. I feel like our attendance numbers being posted are much lower then they should be based on what I've seen in person and on the stream. For instance the SEMO game had 629 as the posted attendance, which is to be expected for a game over the holiday break like that. However, on Thursday vs Morehead St it looked significantly more packed, as well as having a full student section behind the east end hoop, and yet posted attendance was only 1,006, not even 400 more people then the SEMO game. Just from what I saw at both games, I would've guessed there was at least twice as many people, if not more on Thursday night vs. that early January game. Then today, attendance was posted at 1,173. While I was not physically in the Hall for today's game, it did not look any more full on TV, and the student section was not nearly as packed as it was Thursday. It may be a small, trivial thing for some people, but making sure our attendance numbers are accurate, especially not leaving people out is important when trying to show growth and fan engagement at home game when there has not been a ton in recent years for the men's team.

I work Thursday nights so I can’t make those games but I would have guessed at least 1500 today. The crowd for the girls game was really impressive as well.

After decades of watching college sports live and on TV, I have come to the tentative conclusion that attendance counts are done by a relative of the little man who turns the light on and off in the refrigerator.

Seriously, tho. Might depend on how student attendance is counted, as their athletic fees give them otherwise free admission.

Attendance is confusing at best.  Does not one ticket get you into both games now?  So paid attendance is meaningless.   I will go out on a limb and say the 80-20 rule applies here.  That is, only 20 percent of the attendees do both games from tip to final buzzer.  The other 80 just do one game or no more than 1/2 of the other one.  I would count heads from a series of photographs taken of the seating areas at end of 1st quarter or midway thru 1st half.
