Just saw H M and W Golf Coach Lia is retiring after 19 years. She is a GREAT coach but I don't see how she did it the past few years especially. Had to coach both M and W and manage the course. Played in two events at Mussatto this Summer. Not one trap had any sand in it! They had to "groom" the dirt!!
Like everything else at WIU Lia had very limited funds for both the course and her team.

Lia is a class act. Her, EJ, and JD are the only three head coaches in the department who have been at WIU for longer than.. 5 years? Two of the three, Lia and EJ, have been given both genders to coach with little to no increase in resources, salary, or appreciation. That’s unacceptable. It’s amazing what they’ve been able to do for multiple decades in this environment.
