Better yet, we draw a team from the Pioneer.
Yes, very good matchup. I think we stand a good chance in that one, and then followed up by a rematch with Illinois State.

Holy Shit!

Has the committee ever taken a 6-5 team before?

WIU just got some serious respect.

No....never. This is literally unprecedented.

EDIT: as an at-large. There was a 6-5 conference champion that got their conference auto-bid once or twice. I think the Big South champion a year or two ago was there.

Also, Western Carolina and U of North Dakota fans hate us right now.

Auto-bid out of the Pioneer League (same league as Valpo, Butler, Drake, etc.). Finished 10-1 overall with their only loss being 27-17 at Drake yesterday.
We can take 'em if we keep playing like we did the last two weeks.

Full write-up to come later. I got stuff to do today ;)

Believe Norvell was expected to miss 4-6 weeks. Liking our chances with Sean and if we keep winning and Norvell is cleared, believe we stick with Sean.

North Dakota screwed, but very happy.

This is not thread appropriate. And don't know why I am so mean spirited ;) but I just don't like EIU. EIU is 4-15 all time playoff record, and is a perfect 0-8 against MVFC teams in the post season. If we were to average the total offensive output of the last 3 WIU vs. EIU contests Western has out scored Eastern 122-14 (this is not a typo)

I guess I just hate that there is often a mis-perception that EIU is this storied dominant program that is a perennial playoff qualifier.
