Attendance at Saturday's Quarter-final games:

Colgate at Sam Houston State = 5,074. Sam Houston State won 48-21. This game was to have been played Saturday night. But the forecast for severe thunderstorms with heavy rain moved the start time up to 11AM.

Northern Iowa at North Dakota State = 18,041. North Dakota State won 23-13.

And the Bison are leaving points on the field...kicking game is horrible. 2 missed FGs, a missed XP and botched snap on XP. 8 points more of they had a decent kicker.

Less of a beat down in the 2nd half so far. Bison still lead, 26-7 after 3.

10 minute drive. No team in FCS or FBS comes at you with as many variations on the running game as NDSU.

Damn...10 minutes, 85 yards, 18 plays, capped off with another 7 points.

Bison now up 33-7 with only 6 minutes left.

That was the dagger.

Final, same score. 33-7.

They had a little trouble in the 3rd quarter, but defense shut down Richmond in the 4th and their offense absolutely owned time of possession.

Did anyone see that "delayed block" play from the OLine of NDSU. I assume it was a planned thing. Center snaps ball to QB and OLine does not move one inch. Richmond DLine guys stood up as if to say "That's has to be illegal or something" while RB running around the edge. Ingenious to say the least. What the Bison bring to game is unreal. Every formation usually has 3 running options they can go with and sometimes more. Tim Lafferty down at Carthage said something to me once about how he played LB. You always go on the contraction of the muscles in the center's forearm. Now that is attention to detail.
