Per Football Scoop

Western Illinois: Per source, Sewanee (D-III – TN) linebackers coach John Phillip Boudreaux is heading to Western Illinois as a defensive graduate assistant. We understand that he will work with the outside linebackers.

Coach Crutch was a classy top notch coach/person! Will hate to see him go but he has a nice opportunity to make a difference to high school kids. He will do well!! Good luck Coach Crutchley! You will be missed!

Appears they are looking for special teams experience.

Sounds like a replacement has been found for Coach Crutchley.
From what I've heard, former Eastern Kentucky Special Teams/Outside Linebackers coach Ben Hodges has been hired to coach Running Backs.
He has experience with special teams, wide receivers, and tight ends. http://www.ekusports.com/coaches.aspx?r ... h=football

As a reminder, our Linebackers coach/Co-Special Teams Coordinator Garry Fisher was also on EKU's staff for the previous 7 years (Hodges was there for 10 years), so they've worked together for quite a few years in the past. So they'll likely be working together some on special teams as well (an area we needed significant focus on after the last couple of years).

EDIT - here's his twitter account, for those who are interested: https://twitter.com/CoachBHodges

Three Grad Assistants have been added to the roster:

JP Boudreaux - mentioned previously, was player and then LB coach at DIII Sewanee

Deon Broomfield - was grad assistant at Carthage College, played at Iowa State: https://athletics.carthage.edu/coaches. ... all&rc=803

Kieron James - don't know for sure, but I assume the same Kieron James who was a standout DB with us from '09-'12. Was a sophomore when he picked up an interception to seal the playoff win against Coastal Carolina. http://goleathernecks.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=13612

Just a bit of coaching "title" adjustments:

JP Boudreaux is now listed as "Defensive Assistant - Linebackers" (from "Graduate Assistant")
Deon Broomfield is now listed as "Defensive Assistant - Cornerbacks" (from "Graduate Assistant")
Kieron James is now listed as "Quality Control - Offense" (from "Graduate Assistant")

I'd assume essentially just getting a bit more specific with each assistant's duties.
