Re: Video scoreboard
Have to remember that most schools don't just use the football video board for football they host movie nights and other such events for the towns & students and use it to get into all sorts of things. Not a big deal it is nice having a video board finally and I agree with ST that one of the big...

Re: Video scoreboard
It just seems like fixed video boards would of made more sense. After viewing prices from other schools it seems like we could have gotten a fixed board for both the field and in gym of a similar size for same price. According to articles the ISU videoboard cost 1.2 million at 1220 SF that costs $98...

Kind of looks like the black seats are padded and look at all that leg room! Seems like they would be comfortable which is great.

Re: Video scoreboard
I saw that a town near Peoria is installing a videoboard that seems to be very similar to ours on their highschool field. I would guess it may not be as clear and not sure if it has all the features, but I saw online something about this board having $30,000 in donations to get it put up so if that ...

Re: Video scoreboard
Just another reminder of how much of a let down our video board really is. I think they can only add like 100 sf to it as well even tho it comes in small panels that is all the support structure is capable for from what I heard.

Re: 2016 Recruits
Doesn't seem like he has had much success in college basketball so far surprised to see him getting picked up by a DI school even if he was at one time ranked on ESPN. You would like to see him have significant numbers at JUCO especially being 6'10"

Re: Updates to faculty layoff plan and other stuff
WIU needs a complete restructure. I feel as though the arts that much of the campus focuses on is lost with time and that we are still holding in the past they need to move forward and focus more on degrees that are booming or are going to be part of the future. More focus on engineering, nursing, c...

Re: Updates to faculty layoff plan and other stuff
I may be mistaken, but I was pretty sure you had to pay tax on your 401K money once you take it out. It is just not taxable when it is being put into the account. I may very much be wrong though.

Re: Updates to faculty layoff plan and other stuff
I am sure it is more than enough to build the PAC, West Hanson Field Stands and do all the demos needed around campus along with a ton of maintenance projects.
