Some more changes to the football roster page. Mostly updating Jr->Sr, So->Jr, etc. but there's a few that aren't sticking around. Other than the previously mentioned Brock Broughton...

#37 Drew Patterson RB R-Fr. from Sussex, WI
#40 Isaiah Ross DB Fr. from Leavenworth, KS
#60 Ben Meyers DL R-Fr. from Plainfield, IL (surprising since we're losing so many D-line seniors...if he's any good he'd probably end up getting playing time this year)
#92 Josh Faulkenberry LS So. from Arvada, CO (had transferred to Western after being a freshman walk-on snapper at Nebraska)

Did some searching on twitter and wasn't able to find any reasoning for any of them leaving. Meyers is also in ROTC on campus. It's entirely possible he's just leaving the football team to focus on that and/or school.

If they do, they'll have to sit out a year due to transfer rules.

Can move down divisions without sitting out.

I would like to see Taylor leave so we can get more production out of the ILB position.

Dude, it's January 1st, not April 1st.

Appears to be another transfer out...

R-Fr. QB Noah Shanklin (Savannah, GA/IMG Academy)
Not entirely surprising, considering our QB situation.

We have a Senior QB (Norvell) and a Sophomore QB (McGuire) who will likely compete for the starting position this year. Barring any injuries or other unpredictable situations, McGuire will likely start his Junior and Senior years. At that point, Shanklin would have been a Senior, having spent all but 1 year of his eligibility competing with the other R-Fr. QB, Jack Beneventi, for the backup QB spot and likely not getting much playing time. And, who knows who else we might get in the meantime through transfers or recruiting. If McGuire is healthy, Shanklin may only get 1 year of starting, and that's IF he wins the starting job over all the other QBs we may have on the roster at that time. Can't say I blame him. I'll keep an eye out for where he's going, but he'll likely transfer down to DII and get a shot at starting right away somewhere.
