Total enrollment is down from last fall, but only by 134 students (1.76% decrease). New freshmen are up 18.9%, new transfer students up 9.2%, and new grad students up 10.3%.
Personally, I think that's pretty good considering that a number of students have decided to take this year off from school entirely. I'd guess if it weren't for COVID, we would be up overall this fall.
Other schools that have released their numbers so far:
U of I - up 2.22%
U of I Chicago - up 0.38%
U of I Springfield - down 3.02%
Eastern Illinois - up 10.5%
Illinois State - down 0.76%
Northern Illinois - up 0.96%
SIU - Carbondale - down 2.81%
