Why couldn't the infrastructure have been done after last year's spring graduation. I don't see it happening after December graduation given that the university will be shut down for two week. Even it it were done, you still would have to take them down, have the company check them out, etc., rather than this being done right after the last home basketball game. At rate, the infrastructure work won't get done until after this spring's graduation. Unfortunately, one more year without basketball video boards seems likely.

I have not been to a recent college graduation. If we did have the video boards up and running, would they get a workout during the ceremony or would that be considered too "cheesy"?

I'm pretty sure when they announced adding video boards to western hall part of it was for graduation

Yea, I've seen larger schools do that with graduation ceremonies. They have a couple of video boards showing a close up shot of the presenters/speakers and the handing of the diploma case and handshake stuff. That way people way in the back can still see what's going on.

Tere, the process to take the boards down and put them back up in Western Hall is limited by the availability of the facilities management people. Believe me, the wheels are in motion as we speak! ;) jc

I am assuming the video board is being place in Western Hall right now as it is not at Hanson Field anymore. Maybe it will be up and running in time for conference play.

That is good to hear, and a little surprising, maybe ST or someone can go in Western Hall get a sneak peak. If they are hanging them it would be awesome to see some pics!

The boards were suppose to be taken down by the company that supplies them and shipped to Indiana to be checked over before being placed at the "Hall!" I am not surprised that they are gone because that was the plan for the the video board components this week. The facmanagement people are suppose to begin work on the "Hall" structures in the next few weeks! The transition should be easier next year except the boards will have to be up for the playoffs! ;) jc

Nice article in the PJ Star regarding the new greenhouse. Looks like ADM has already pledged $100,000 for the next green house and hopefully they can get more from Pioneer and other such companies in the coming future. They can start on the next greenhouse July 1st 2015 if the funds are available which it looks like they may be. I placed link below to article

ST any chance that they could get a pic of the future phases and the diagram that was show on the McDonough Voice website under their video section. It looks like they had a nice diagram of what they want to do in coming future and the investment options. Would be a great link on that Campus Projects site to include so people can see future ideas for the site.
