Great to see them hitting the QC area, WIU hasn't really had many from that area head to Macomb. A plus for many reasons, but with a campus in Moline and hopefully it would attract some people from that area to make the trek to watch some games.

Yup, I'm glad to see them recruiting more in the area. It helps build community/regional support, you end up getting more players family members and friends come to the games, and it probably gets us in more local media. Like, you'd see TV stations from Quincy, Quad Cities, Peoria, etc. do stories on the local kid who two years ago won the "Area Player of the Year" award and is now starting/doing great at Western. Obviously we can't get by on just local talent, but it's a good way to build support in the area.

Huh, yeah, you're right. So I wonder if there's someone else they're bringing in for WRs or if Coach Hen will handle that himself (he did play WR).

Are you saying there's a change on our staff at WR?  If you're referring to the article, Isaac Fruechte was their WR coach and is going to Winona State.  Kirkwood who was their RB coach is coming to WIU and likely taking over that roll.  Unless you have new info and you're dropping a hint......

Kirkwood recently coached former Leatherneck Isaiah Cherrier, who was their leading rusher in 2019, but limited this past fall.

It was a hint. I'd heard a name, but obviously it wasn't announced with this. Maybe it didn't pan out, or maybe there are still hoops to jump through because this happened later than the rest.

Best of luck to Roberts, I hope he's able to spread his wings.

Does anyone know if a) Coach Hen will be OC, or hold a position group or b) will Feeney coach a position group?

Feeney is Coaching OLBs.  Not 100% sure the OC situation. There will be a WR Coach, but at a later date. Might be a familiar interim Coach though
