I had no idea Denver is an associate member of the Big East Conference for Lacrosse. Denver is going for NCAA Championship #30 today.

Sort of related, yesterday I ran a 6K trail run down here in Trussville (just outside of Birmingham) to support their local high school lacrosse team. I had no idea lacrosse would be such a big deal down here in a state most famous for college football but you could tell the coach was very passionate about it and he put on a damn good small-scale race. The trail was designed for mountain bikers and extremely rough in stretches yet some 30+ guy wearing a pair of minimalist flip-flops/sandals ended up winning his age group. Now that is what I call tough.

Embrace the pace of the race.
The Championship game will actually be on Monday at 12 Noon (Central). It will be televised on ESPN2 from Philadelphia.sealhall74 wrote:Denver is going for NCAA Championship #30 today.
It will be #4 Denver (16-2) vs #6 Maryland (15-3).
In Saturday's semi-finals:
Denver beat Notre Dame 11-10 in overtime. Notre Dame was the #1 seed.
Maryland beat John Hopkins 12-11.

Thanks for clearing up my bad 712. Here is an interesting tidbit:
Illinois is the 5th most populous state in the country at 13 million give or take.
The combined populations of our neighboring states of Iowa, Wisconsin, and Indiana is about 15 million.
Illinois (UofI) has 18 DI nattys while the above neighbors have won a total of 77.
If that is not under-achieving, I don't know what is.
Might be interesting to figure in the DII and DIII stuff.
If you really love college sports, you need to be living in California.
