The women's team is now 4-3 after splitting the games at the University of North Florida Classic, losing vs Towson (83-77) and defeating Bethune-Cookman (75-59). Senior Sophie Reichelt averaged 28.5 points per game during those two games.

Up this week are:

Tuesday, December 2nd at Eastern Illinois Panthers
EIU is 1-5 on the season, defeating IUPUI to start the season, then losing games at Memphis, home vs Loyola (Chicago), at Indiana State, Northern Illinois, and St. Louis University. They are averaging 58.8 points per game, and have given up 75.6 points per game. They were picked to finish 9th in the OVC preseason poll.

Saturday, December 5th vs Ashford University Saints
Ashford competes in NAIA. They are a for-profit university with most of their students enrolled online and managed through their San Diego headquarters...however, they have a traditional campus located in Clinton, IA. It was originally known as Mount St. Clare College (a private catholic-run institution), and changed their name in 2003 to The Franciscan University which was then modified to The Franciscan University of the Prairies. They were purchased in 2005 by Bridgepoint Education and converted to a for-profit university. This will actually be the last year for the traditional campus in Clinton...due to declining enrollment, they will be closing their physical location at the end of the 2015/2016 school year. Ashford's women's basketball team is currently 1-7 with their only win over William Penn University. Their game against Western will be considered an exhibition for them.

Ashford tallest is 5'10 and most are 5'6 - 5'8 range. I can honestly say we have a height advantage in this one.
Embrace the pace of the race.
