2016 - Week 3 in the MVFC (and other games of interest)

If you want to talk about Monmouth University Football, Quincy University Basketball, Notre Dame Men's Soccer, or whatever, this is the place.

Great game NDSU. If they finished some of their other drives they could have won by more. Their oline killed it today.

Told all my Iowa friends not to automatically chalk up a win this week.

The MVFC is now 2-1 against the Big 10 this season, with the only loss being ISUb losing at Minnesota.

I think Klieman just beat his last FBS team as an FCS coach.
Embrace the pace of the race.

Also of note....the Richmond Spiders...the team that beat Virginia by 17 points in the first week...just lost to Stony Brook...by 28 freakin' points. 42-14 was the final: http://www.fcs.football/cfb/boxscore.as ... final=true

Entirely possible...
NDSU does have Oregon on the schedule for 2020, but by then, Klieman will likely be coaching at a higher level.

And any FBS that was looking to schedule them in the future is seriously reconsidering at this point.

Great win for the Bison and the MVFC! I watched the whole game. FBS teams keep scheduling NDSU even after the wins over FBS opponents.

Eastern just beat Illinois State, 24-21.

EIU got up early but ISU came back with a couple of TDs. Tried an onside kick, but to no avail.

Definitely makes our win over Eastern look even that much better. They're now 2-1 overall with wins over a MAC FBS team and a highly ranked MVFC team. Also makes the Redbirds look that much more "beatable".

His next FBS win might still be at NDSU. It might just be as an FBS team.

If I were the Mountain West they'd be in the works if that is not already the case.

USD was leading UND by a couple of scores, but UND had two pick-sixes to bring it to a tie.
Going to overtime now: http://eversport.tv/big-sky/football/20 ... rth-dakota

UPDATE - TDs for each on the first play for each of them. XPs for both keeps it tied...41-41, going into OT #2.

UPDATE - USD gets a FG in 2nd OT, UND counters with a hard-fought TD and wins it 47-44.
