NDSU 61 WIU 48 is the final.
Aside from Fuller and Ancrum, not much to talk about. Lackluster effort on the defensive end.

North Dakota State wins 61-48. The 13-point margin was the same predicted by Massey Ratings (68-55).
ESPN named J.C. Fuller as Western's "Top Performer": 21 Pts, 7 Reb, 3 Ast, 1 Stl, 1 Blk.
Good night for Dalan Ancrum with 16 points.
HUGE free throw differential in this game. Western only shot 3 free throws (made 2) while North Dakota State shot 23 (made 16).
Attendance at North Dakota State was 3,149.

Covington was 1-12. Kory Brown is a defensive specialist. Kid could play nba just for that if a team wanted him for the playoffs only.
I talked to a couple of your guys after the game sounded like Macomb to Denver to Fargo trip was pretty tiring. You'll pick it up.
Is there a hard transition from molinari?

The defensive scheme looks to be about the same to me, maybe a little more emphasis on double teaming down low to compensate for our lack of physicality. Offense is night and day difference. We are looking to push the ball when opportunity knocks and kids are not afraid to pop a shot early in the shot clock. Do that on a Mo team, you would taking a seat next time clock stops. On the negative side, a Mo team would never get blown out by 30 like we have a couple of times this year simply because not enough ball possessions during the game to allow it.Lakesbison wrote:

Summit looks like a crapshoot this year. Damn near any team could be dancing come March.

we actually lost by 13 here last year too.that score was 65-52 so i guess last years defense wasnt as good as this years,i guess.wiu was 4-10 in conference last year so we are better their too.plus they only won 10 total games last year.so i think this team is younger and better than last years team.but a long way to go but its good to see diferant inexperienced players stepping up.now that have to all step up together on same nights, every night.and i think they will eventually.i like this team.

Just get a 6-7 seed in the summit & play great for 3 days in a row. The title is gonna be up for grabs
