Maybe Billy should come out and see who happens to be looking sharp in warmups and go with them. If I recall correctly from my visit to Brookings last year, Nagy actually did sit on the bench and watch his kids during warmups.
I believe Nagy does. Most head coaches do not come onto the floor until about the 2-3 minute mark just ahead of the National Anthem. In the three years I covered the Leathernecks, Coach Mo was only on the floor twice during warmups. The first time was a road game at UMKC during the 2011-12 season, and the second time is escaping my memory.

To be honest, sitting and watching warm- ups was one of my favorite things to do when I was a high school head coach. I love high school pep bands and the music they play. My favorite was to go to Wheaton Central (South) and hear there pep band play "Birdland!" It also allowed me to talk with some of the kids who sat behind the bench who I had coached in my camps. I ended up having words with my AD in this regard. She questioned whether I was really ready for the game chatting it up with kids and fans, but this gave me a good chance to relax just before the ball went up. I mean by that time there is not a whole lot you can do. As far as picking out guys that were hot, I have found that there is really no correlation between hitting all of your shots prior to the game and during the game. As a player I totally hated though getting hit in the head with a ball during warm-ups but the night that happened to me I had 15 points against a good Zion Benton ball club, so go figure. I always wondered if I should let my best 3 point shooter participate in the 3 point shooting contest. I mean, what happened if he missed all of the shots or a lot of the shots he took in that competition? Well, the answer was, who cares. It did not matter! ;) jc
