Community Development Coordinator John Bannon has discussed what would happen with the Macomb city census count if most Western Illinois University students don’t return to campus until after the April 1 target date. He said he is working with WIU to get student home addresses for a postcard mailing.
“Since the students live in Macomb for most of the year, they should list Macomb as their home address,” Bannon said.

The Malpass Library on the Macomb campus and branch libraries on the Macomb and Moline campuses are closed to the general public, effective immediately, until further notice.
The libraries remain open for individuals with a valid WIU ID. On-line resources also remain available.
