Brandon Malkow entering portal. Redshirted 2018, started all games in 2019, missed the spring 2021 season due to injury, started every game at Center in fall 2021.

Might be wrong but I think both have probably been around long enough to graduate this spring.  Who can blame them, especially if we dont offer a MS in whatever career goals they have in mind.

Brandon did say he's exploring, so might not find a better opportunity.  We do have Ty coming back with 3 years left.  He started at center in the spring and 3 starts at guard last year.  Believe Michael Ross is back after missing last year, so a guard with 21 starts.

Sucks losing Mason as he's been our most consistent OLB.  Are we moving to a 4-3 and not a the best fit for DE?  Maybe it is the MS thing.

Was a fan of both guys and hope they end up staying.  If not, best of luck.

Brandon has already picked up an offer from Idaho & Indiana St

Definitely going to miss the Mason and Malkow families.  They have both done a lot for the team.  But, if kids don't want to be here 100%, I really don't want them here.  We need everyone bought in and working towards the same goal.

Also Albany and UT-Chattanooga. Mason has an offer from Indiana State as well.

And, Senior O-Lineman Mike Ross is out now too...
