Yeah, I would not like having to deal with the state of college sports today. I saw on Twitter, 26 D1 schools are now looking for an AD. Not sure who would want to be an AD in the current college environment. So much BS to have to navigate thru.
It sounds like he was planning on retiring in the next year or so, but this still seems unexpected. You'd imagine if it was just that, it would have been announced that he was retiring at the end of this month or something, not immediately.
