Can anyone confirm that we will be televised on ESPN3 for all the games they have listed on ESPN? There is quite a few home games where we will be on there as of right now.

Hey,

Take a look at this preseason poll from CBS sports. Just a little information included with each team 1-351! WIU began the week at 326, Wisconsin 17! Polls/Predictions, "sometimes I'm right, and I can be wrong, my own beliefs are in my song!" (Seal that's for you!)
You know, basically Friday night can be explained because Wisconsin is down a bit and WIU is up a whole lot. Whenever you take a team on the road and play in that environment, to win you got to keep your foot on the gas, your gotta continue to go to the hole, basically you have to have your hands wrapped around their necks to the end. The lead at the end gave the Necks enough breathing room to come up with the win. jc ;)

Yes, there's a new agreement with the Summit League and ESPN that a lot of the Summit League home games will be on ESPN3. I'm pretty happy about it, myself.

Here's Wisconsin's description:
17. Wisconsin: Plenty could criticize us for putting Wisconsin so high after losing Frank Kaminsky, Sam Dekker, Trae Jackson, Duje Dukan and Josh Gasser. We get it. That's such a huge loss. But we refuse to bet against Bo Ryan, who has never finished worse than fourth in the Big Ten, and we slot the Badgers as the fourth-best Big Ten team in these rankings.

And ours:
326. Western Illinois: They won one of their last 15 games last season, so it's hard to say that momentum is on their side. Look for hopeful offensive improvement.

Another article by John Bohnenkamp about the reactions to the win at UW: http://www3.thehawkeye.com/bohnenkamp_blog/?p=3325

Also, I hope we had some of our potential future recruits watching that game. Western's stock probably jumped significantly for anyone who had us on their "schools to consider" list. The Chicago area has a ton of talent, and I'm sure word got around all the basketball "circles" up there pretty quickly.
