End of the 3rd qr. Oral Roberts ahead 51-36. Time to put on the rally caps!
Western is 3 for 19 on three-point attempts.

Oral Roberts wins 68-55.
Western was 5 for 27 on three-point attempts.

Michelle Maher and Sophie Reichelt led the Western scoring with 15 points each.

The Midco Sports Network announcers estimated the crowd to be 1,700.

The crowd was 3,172 for the second game (Omaha vs IUPUI). Omaha posted the first upset of the tournament with a 62-51 win.

they have lived and died by the 3-pointer all season and they died with it today.

Defense wins championships or at least it keeps you in games when shots are not falling. Mayberry had lots of wide open looks from long range and delivered. Never let their best scorer go off and have a day. Oh wait, Asley Luke had a career day here as well a few years back and we still lost. Frustrating. I dont have the answer but I know for sure you have to show up to have a chance. I think you have to come with a certain mindset. This tournament IS your spring break, not something waiting for you when you get back on home. That goes for the fan base as well as the athletes.
