FYI...Joe Turk is actually 6'3 - 260 now...big strong kid
He played TE and DE in high school, but is listed as just a TE on the UCF athletics site. It seems like a lot of the guys who are good enough to play football at the D1 level (especially high FCS like the MVFC or low FBS like UCF) were good enough athletes to play both sides of the ball in HS, so he's got experience at both. I'd expect we'll likely see him more at a tight end/blocking fullback-type position.letsgonecks wrote:Is Turk coming in as a DE or TE?

He's actually coming in as TE/FB. He's really a good athlete and has good hands. I've been told he will be used at both positions. I can only imagine him lead blocking for one of our RB's! He's built like a brick s_ _ t house!!
Got an official commitment from the previously mentioned Alex Olivas, transfer CB/Nickel out of Chaffey College (2-year junior college in CA).

Hampshire had a very strong football program back in the late '70s. Pretty cool nickname as well.ST_Lawson wrote:Matthew Kielbasa (love the name, btw), coming in as a walk-on at the start of August.
