According to the MVFC website, the only game of ours that's going to be on ESPN3 is Homecoming vs North Dakota State: http://www.valley-football.org/multimedia/default/
ESPN, for some reason, is saying that all 5 of the home games are on ESPN3, but that'd REALLY surprise me if that was the case.

It is saying that the game at Wisconsin is going to be on the BTN, which I could see happening.

I think that may be what some of the MVFC schools do. I seem to remember that the Illinois State games last season, a lot of them were on ESPN3, but they didn't look like ESPN broadcasts...they looked like a local production (like what we used to see on the local campus station) that was just transmitted to ESPN for distribution on ESPN3.WIU0812 wrote:I wonder if any schools ever reach agreement with ESPN and just send their live stream to them using the schools crew which is then aired on channel like ESPN3
I don't know if that's the case with us this season though and if others have heard from the Athletics Department that we are not broadcasting this weeks game on ESPN3, then I'd be inclined to go with them. Still might not hurt to check when the game starts, just in case.

Game Day forecast for Thursday, August 28 according to The Weather Channel:
High of 83.
80% chance of rain during the day. 20% chance of rain in the evening.
Wind: ESE at 9 mph during the day. SSE at 7 mph in the evening.
I'm not a big fan of these Thursday games. I am assuming that the reason for a Thursday game is the thinking that the attendance will be higher on Thursday night as opposed to the Saturday of Labor Day weekend.

I don't mind the Thursday game as much as I do the 6pm CT start time.

If 'Necks show up big this year, some more of it I just might.

Two things.
First, on the ESPN3. It must be territorial local TV. IUPUI basketball had most/all of their basketball games broadcast on ESPN3.
Second, the Thursday night games at Hanson Field. Hated them (as a broadcaster). The Hanson Field press box is a torture chamber. The last two seasons we had a 110+ heat index with the sun beating in on those large windows, no air conditioning, and no ventilation. It was the worst conditions I have EVER felt in my life.

Youngstown State Crew Freely proclaims what a piece of shit their "set up accommodations are at Macomb"
I heard about that a few years ago, and nothing has changed since, that I am aware of........
Honestly, the Recruiting department must have a hard job.........I remember arriving on campus in 1995. I Remember thinking what a sad Press Box and stands it looked like.
