Convington and Miklusak played great, unfortunately they lose their last senior home game. Hopefully they can catch lighting in a bottle for the conference tournament. If they give up 60 points on lay ups to South Dakota again it will be over at half time being they essentially have a home game.
The old guys took charge yesterday. Next weekend, we need a youngster or preferably two to have a career game. There is not a team in the tournament that we cannot beat. I do expect a 6, 7, or 8 seed to pull off a first round upset.

South Dakota State vs. Denver, 6 p.m. Sunday

Something happened during one of the Necks first couple of possessions in overtime which I think kinda sums up this whole year. The ball was passed quickly around the horn, from the deep right corner to a wide open Covington in the deep left corner for a wide open 3 ball. Every pass was quick, on the money and to me was a prime example of how the game should be played. Team, team, team! But instead of being the 3 ball dagger it should have been, Cov hit the back of the rim and the resulting rebound became an IPFW fast break for a score. How many times have the Necks been just that close? jc
