It's all about the "purple seats" and the renewal of Western Hall. We finally have a Division 1 venue, now we need a Division 1 crowd!!! jc

NFS71 I agree with 99.9% of your posts.

However:

Purple seats in Western Hall = Lipstick meet pig. Granted it does look better, but what other D-I venue would you say Western Hall compares favorably with in the Midwest? I feel this a fair question.

I will say that Western Hall with renovations is not the recruiting liability I imagine it to have been.

It’s not the best, but, it’s worlds better than it was, I must admit. First time going to game after seats/new entry “tunnels” and a lot more purple on the walls I was pleasantly surprised at the look.

Plus the video boards!!! Its no longer a warehouse/barn. The purple seats, the vomitorys , the pictures, plus end zone seating which was already there gives it some color and class which it lacked in the past. No its not Redbird Arena, but it will meet WIU's needs for the immediate future. jc
