Figured I would start a thread for any area basketball or Summit coaching news

Start it off with Chicago St announcing they are parting ways with their men's coach

That has to be the worst D1 job in the country even though they have a nice arena.

I don't know if its official yet, but Chicago St is looking for a new women's coach also.

Mooney gotta be close to graduating. Year at Air Force, transfer sit out year, 2nd year playing at USD. Would he go with Smith if Smith goes? That would be a huge blow to program if it happens.

Update: Apparently rumor floating around Vermillion that Mooney is tranferring to ILLINOIS, yes ILLINOIS.

Read that this morning maybe wants to get to play closer to home he shot almost every time down the floor in there CBI game he would be a grad transfer so he could play immediately.

It appears Smith has left for Utah St. Mooney's fate may follow the coach. Tough day for the Yotes.
