Of course Western will officially be blaming in on "No Confidence" and "Strike Authorization" votes rather than the real problem. Typical.wiu712 wrote: Thu Jun 07, 2018 6:06 pm Eastern Illinois announced today that their freshman class for Fall 2018 is projected to be 18% higher in comparison to Fall 2017.
Last week, Illinois State projected an 8% increase in their Fall 2018 enrollment.
Enrollment at Western is going in the other direction. The freshman class for Fall 2018 is projected to be 32% lower in comparison to Fall 2017. The "No Confidence" and "Strike Authorization" votes probably play a role in that decrease.

No, I think 712 referenced it that way. Tere, give people a chance to get things figured and worked out!

A chance??? Hell, enrollment has been declining for more than 10 years. You'd think they would have figured out something by now. But no, excuses continue.Neckfansince71 wrote: Thu Jun 07, 2018 7:39 pm No, I think 712 referenced it that way. Tere, give people a chance to get things figured and worked out!jc

FALSE. Just announce what you are doing, show the results, and let the facts speak for themselves. DO NOT continue to blame everything under the sun.Neckfansince71 wrote: Fri Jun 08, 2018 9:25 am So lets face it, no matter what they do you are not going to approve of it!jc

Lol... Like you do!? I'm sorry Tere, but NFS71 is right, you're negativity has no end and is a bit tiring. There's some good momentum right now, let's all work to push forward, not pull back.Tere North wrote: Fri Jun 08, 2018 10:24 pmFALSE. From Mark Bernards (Western Ag Professor): "If we continue this pattern of decline in enrollment, I calculated WIU will have a student population of less than 4,000 by the fall of 2022. The Board of Trustees has a responsibility to maintain WIU."

The "contract" sounds more like probation to me. I hope those expectations are all SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound) else they fall in to that Trump-Kim Summit Agreement category.wiu712 wrote: Tue Jun 12, 2018 8:53 am From Mark Bernards (Western Ag Professor): "If we continue this pattern of decline in enrollment, I calculated WIU will have a student population of less than 4,000 by the fall of 2022.
