"Word on the street" says that NIU will play WIU in basketball this upcoming season.
Nothing official released as of yet, but I'm assuming NIU will host the game but not certain about that.

I don't know why they wouldn't try and do a home and home series of games with NIU every year similiar to what is done with EIU. Each team struggles to get home games to begin with, and it isn't like either team selling thousands of tickets. Win, win for both sides.NIU#1FBinIL wrote: ↑Wed Jun 06, 2018 1:52 pm "Word on the street" says that NIU will play WIU in basketball this upcoming season.

Nothing has been released officially so this year's game may end up being a part of a home-and-home series. Guess we'll find out when the details are released publicly.Necks2003 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 08, 2018 10:06 amI don't know why they wouldn't try and do a home and home series of games with NIU every year similiar to what is done with EIU. The part of the interview with the NIU BBall coach where he "leaked" this info was centered around NIU having difficulties finding teams to play, so it wouldn't surprise me if the one in-state team NIU was able to schedule involves a home-and-home.

Got the Bluejays in their nest to open the season. Slightly confusing. Today is Monday but the 6th is on a Tuesday. But after serious consideration, I guess it is no different than a Throwback Thursday post. Looking for volunteers willing to make the trip and stop by Warren Buffet's place to see if he has a few millions burning a hole in his pocket that he might be willing to let go.
UPDATE: I dont have the address of his home but I do have some video of it on this link: http://www.businessinsider.com/warren-b ... oks-2017-6. I also have some recent experience to help us track down the location of his home. My sister called me last Friday when she was touring through Illinois wanting to know if I remembered the address of our grandparents home in Warsaw, IL. My grandparents had long since passed and it was over 50 years ago that we had last visited them in that house. I told her I did not remember the address but I did know the rough vicinity of it. I jumped on Google Maps street view and started "driving" through the area I thought it was in. Sure enough, I recognized a two story house with a big covered porch that I thought might be it. I texted her with the address and she later confirmed with a local town person that the house was indeed that of my grandparents. Now, Omaha is a tad bigger than Warsaw, but I have faith in you, Leatherneck Nation, we can do this. Warren Buffet, here we come.

It's not really that hard to find. Google Maps says it's 5505 Farnam St. in Omaha: https://goo.gl/maps/yoEgzsBdApE2
Interestingly enough, the Berkshire Hathaway Corporate offices (and Buffet's office) is also on Farnam Ave. about two miles down the road: https://goo.gl/maps/rMRRBiqEsYR2
EDIT - although you might have an easier time visiting this awesome candy store.

Good work, ST. For leverage during our meeting with Warren, we need to figure out if any of his subsidiary companies have a vested interest in Macomb or nearby vicinity. Dairy Queen is one. I have always been a "Fruit of the Loom" guy although recently I have fell in love with the undies from Mack Weldon. Any others?

Doesn't look like any of the other companies have anything in Macomb other than maybe a few Pampered Chef sellers. Best I can do is my great-great-uncle was one of the founders if International Dairy Queen (and was the original owner of the one here in Macomb, as well as quite a few other locations around central Illinois). I don't know how closely he was involved in the sale to Berkshire Hathaway though, and also, he died about a decade ago, so probably no help there.sealhall74 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 20, 2018 6:49 am Good work, ST. I knew that if I stuck around long enough on this board I would learn what brand of underwear Seal wears.sealhall74 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 20, 2018 6:49 am Good work, ST.
