I just saw that! Great idea, and I love the fact that someone in the Dept is actually trying new things to get the number up. Whether it works or not, I sincerely applaud the effort. Very encouraging! I wish I knew of a group close by that would go, I would buy 50 tickets for them!sealhall74 wrote: Mon Oct 08, 2018 9:46 am They have an interesting promo for the game vs. Bison. If you come with a group of 30, you all get in for $2. That is bargain basement price if I have ever seen one.
Attendance Ideas and Solutions
It kinda seems odd...not sure what the target audience is with this one...maybe HS football players? At first I was thinking fraternities and sororities, but they're students...they get in free anyway. I have a hard enough time getting 30+ alumni to come back for Homecoming Alumni Band; I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be getting 30 people together for this. Good on them for trying something, at least.sealhall74 wrote: Mon Oct 08, 2018 9:46 am They have an interesting promo for the game vs. Bison. Must be giving out a secret code or something.

Students have Friday off, so there may not be as many of them on campus. Probably trying to get a decent sized crowd from whomever around the area might come (and it's against NDSU). I'd donate 60 bucks to get 30 people there - just don't have that many contacts that would be interested.
Some football parents and I are looking to buy tickets for youth groups in the area. I think they are trying to get more folks locally to come out, which is where you are going to have the most luck increasing attendance anyway.ST_Lawson wrote: Mon Oct 08, 2018 10:56 amIt kinda seems odd...not sure what the target audience is with this one...maybe HS football players? Very interesting as has been mentioned many students will be gone this weekend plus the forecast doesn’t look good for Saturday
I just called in to buy 50 tickets for a Youth group in Macomb for Saturdays game. The number in the promotion gets you to the Athletic Dept, and they then transfer you to the ticket office. When they tried, no one answered, and the very nice lady said they must have stepped out. Apparently there is only one person that can sell tickets? LOL Ok, I'll try back later...

Success! 50 tickets purchased for the Youth Group at The Crossing Church. Hopefully some of these kids will fall in love with WIU Football, and make their parents bring them to more games! Get em while they're young.
Also, we have some leg work being done in Macomb. If anyone wants to call in a buy more tickets we can make sure they get to a good group that will use them. $2 bucks a piece and a small processing fee. 50 tickets cost us $104. Well worth it if we get some fans out of it!
