I know Summit League and WIU aren't a huge selling point for transfers, but wonder how and if we approach these players.
Take a guy like Cameron Lard from ISU (not sure if he's eligible immediately or not). He saw his time reduced on a good ISU team in a good conference, so why not come to WIU and be the man for 2 years? We have other talent and a great point guard who can score and create for you. You'd assume he'd have the chance to dominate in the Summit and create some buzz, plus you'd have the chance to turn around a program and possibly lead them to their first ever tournament.
I know there are hundreds of other programs out there you could do the same for. Ones with more money, better facilities, better weather, but it could take just one. One could lead to more and improve high school recruiting and put the program down a new path......guess I'm just wishful thinking.

Hello everyone! I have recently created a message board dedicated to Summit League sports. I invite you to check it out: http://summitfans.com/ I hope to have some good discussion between fans from all teams in the conference!
