Go leathernecks. Time to put the hammer down and make a stand. We need to pick up our first win. Its not where you start but how you finish. Wiu 28 ,,. Tech 13

Hopefully the weather holds? Saw a chance for thunder storms. 34-6 Western in good weather. 24-6 Western in stormy conditions.

This game is being called "Pack it Purple"....like last week when you wear gold, this week you wear purple (that should be an easier shirt for me to find...only have 1 gold shirt, but like 20 purple ones).

Also, many of you might remember this, but TTU has a WIU coaching connection. Their Associate Head Coach/Tight Ends coach is Doug Malone: https://www.ttusports.com/sports/fball/ ... g?view=bio
He returned stateside to the collegiate game as he spent two seasons with Western Illinois as the Fighting Leathernecks' co-offensive coordinator and tight ends coach. WIU reached the 2017 Football Championship Subdivision playoffs and averaged 410 yards of offense and 35.5 points per game. The team put together a plus-15 turnover margin – the best in the Missouri Valley Football Conference and fourth in the NCAA.

I am hoping we come out strong and show the MVFC and FCS we had a rough start week one, and then played two good teams and not gonna be a push over the rest of the season.

Despite the slow start, Coach Jared Elliott sees good things from the Leathernecks.

One thing we got in common with them (or did have in common with them at one time) was an old beat up pickup truck making the rounds of the playing field during the game. They brought theirs back two years ago. Time for us to do likewise.
