This is really cool. The National Institute of Food and Agriculture awarded 8 grants this year totaling $77.8 million, and WIU is getting one of the grants, for $10 million, to research the use of Pennycress as a cash cover crop for use in biofuel.

Probably a lot of it goes to equipment, supplies for experiments, and stipends or other $ for grad and student assistants. One of the Marching Leathernecks that I know is an Ag Science major and she's going to be involved with this project.
