And UNI rolls over SFA with a final score of 44-10.
UNI's David Johnson finished the game with 152 yards and 3 TDs rushing, and 84 yards and a TD receiving.
The MVFC is 3-0 this weekend in the playoffs. So, out of 16 teams playing in the FCS playoffs next weekend, 5 of them are from the MVFC.
Too bad next weekend at least two conference teams will lose.

Outstanding day for the MVFC! This is further evidence of the strength of the conference. It is unfortunate that MVFC teams will face each other so early in the playoffs but as I understand the selection pairings strategy, regions are grouped together where possible in order to create fan interest [think attendance] and save on travel costs.
The strong performance by Indiana State at Eastern Kentucky was a nice late season compliment to the Leathernecks...

Great game. Shame one had to lose. I would love to ask Coach S if he had to do it over again, would he postpone the wildcat stuff until 2nd half. Seems Bison made the necessary adjustments after halftime.

Just did some research on the remaining eight teams. One very interesting statistic came to light.wiu712 wrote:Attendance at the FCS 2nd round play-off games (Dec 6):

They ALL have very mobile QBs with average rushing yards/play ranging from 3.1 (Vernon Adams/EWU) to 5.3 (Tre Roberson/ISUr).
It appears that EWU does not want Adams to run much of late, especially while he is nursing his ankle back to 100% health. Last year he had a 4.6 average. Next lowest average this year was 4.7 (Robertson/Villanova) and he looked very mobile today against Liberty and in fact has rushed for over 1300 yards this year.
It takes an arm and legs to get it done at the FCS level.
At the next level up, I am not sure what it takes to get it done. HTF can Wisconsin get rolled by OSU to the tune of 59-0 unless they wanted to get rolled that bad only to let the Buckeyes into the field of 4 and add a few more bucks to the B1G coffers?
