So you think Nielson is finally getting things going at South Dakota, I think they are relatively young too, so they should be the good the next couple of years.

So you think Nielson is finally getting things going at South Dakota, I think they are relatively young too, so they should be the good the next couple of years.

 

Definitely young on the offensive side of the ball. Starters for their game last weekend were: 2 Seniors, 2 Juniors, 2 Sophomores (and R. Soph), and 5 Freshmen (+ R. Fr.). On defense, they had 5 Seniors, 1 Junior, 3 Sophomores, and 2 Freshmen. Depending on who the have to fill those spots on defense, they might be a little down in that aspect next year, but their offense should be pretty well set for a few years. Their QB, Carson Camp, is considered a true freshman (he played in 4 games in the spring 2020 season). He's actually from Bloomington/Normal, IL, which has gotta be annoying to Redbird fans that they didn't get this kid who was in their own backyard.
