I saw where a former player I'm assuming. Said he was incompetent and had no talent or ethics. So sound like there has been a lot going on with the VB programST_Lawson wrote: Mon Dec 13, 2021 10:06 pm When a volleyball alumni who played for him responds with “lol”, you gotta wonder if there was more going on than just not winning. Could be that he just wasn’t ready to be a D1 coach?
Also, he had essentially the same timeframe as Coach Elliott did. Coached ‘18, ‘19, ‘20 which was pushed back to winter/spring ‘21, fall ‘21. In that time his squads were 16-88, a .154 record.

Dale Starr is the new HC of volleyball. He's got quite a bit of DI experience, so that's pretty nice.

Hoping for the best with the new coach, I see he was 6-24 since Robert Morris joined the Horizon. Once again I'm sure the options weren't real great, but fingers crossed he can get things turned around.
I wonder what happened with the assistant bb coaches wife? She seemed like a fit

A few transfers, a few freshmen...hopefully it works out. We haven't had much success in volleyball in a while, so in terms of wins and losses, there's really no place to go but up.

I watched the streamcast of yesterday's matches against Canisius and Fort Wayne. Came out on the short end in both but the ladies had no quit in them. Several closely contested sets throughout and I was very impressed with their effort. The Summit will be tough as usual. Don't stop getting better.
Also kudos to the 2 guys broadcasting the matches. Who was the color guy? Sounded like Karch Kiraly or am I way out of bounds here.

Embrace the pace of the race.

Totally agree with your comment regarding "no quit!" The 32-30 set was a great example. This group is only going to get better.

Looks like they're the kind of team that will keep fighting. They fell 3-2 in their matchup with Arkansas State at the Skyhawk Invitational at UT-Martin (which is why the volleyball team was able to be at last night's football game), but only one set was a "blowout". Arkansas State is 4-1 this season and had a winning record last year, so they're a decent team.Neckfansince71 wrote: Sun Aug 28, 2022 10:20 am Totally agree with your comment regarding "no quit!" They'll play UT-Martin later this evening and then Alabama A&M tomorrow late morning.

Today the volleyball team took down cross-state rival EIU in 3 straight sets.
