Agree. We have had many really good pure shooters over the years but I don't recall anyone who could create off the bounce as good as Massner PLUS actually make a high percentage of those shots OR find the open man when the defender shuts him off. He reminds me of Nate Wolters from SDSU in that respect.meganeck wrote: Tue Jan 24, 2023 9:01 am I posted this in another thread, but i think Trenton is a Top 10, possibly a Top 5 player all time at WIU.
Embrace the pace of the race.

His 46 points actually ties him with Marcus Tsohonis from Long Beach State, for most points this year in a game. What's crazy about Massner's 46 is doing it in 21 shots. Took Tsohonis 38 in 3 OT's and next two guys put up with 45, took 27 and 31 shots with overtimes.
He would have tied or won 16 games against Jim Molinari Leatherneck teams. 46 points would have tied or beat 19 Jim Molinari Leatherneck opponents!!!!

Glad I was able to make the second half after dinner and meeting at the AGR House. I must have brought the men luck. They were down five when I arrived.
Massner's shooting reminded me of the Joe Dykstra days! I even called Coach Margenthaler to tell him about it and we immediately brought up Joe D.
