1) Results of each tied team's collective record against the other teams tied for the same position.
2) If multiple ties still remain, then each tied team's record shall be compared to the team or group (if two or more are tied) occupying the highest position in the standings continuing down through the standings until a team gains an advantage.
3) If the above results in two teams remaining, the two-team tiebreaker is used.
4) If a tie involving three or more teams still cannot be broken after applying criteria (1) and (2), it will be broken by comparing each tied team's RPI (based upon the RPIratings.com Report issued on the morning following the last regular season league game).
Using just rule 1, we easily settle the matter:
ORU 3-1 (#3 seed) plays NDSU (#6)
WIU 2-2 (#4 seed) plays IUPUI (#5)
IUPUI 1-3 (#5 seed) plays WIU (#4)
This is a tough one for me. We beat both IUPUI and NDSU twice each so not sure who I would rather play. NDSU seems like the obvious choice but they would have a little crowd noise advantage over us. On the other hand, JD and girls handled that issue pretty well last year against USD save the final few minutes of it. If they learned from that experience, ...
Ahh, wtf! Just go out and beat the 'Yotes this PM, gain a little confidence going in, and we will strategize about what do against the Bison over a couple of post-game celebratory brewskis.
