11/4/23 - at Northern Iowa
Only makes sense to give them a shot - we're way beyond "nothing to lose". At least give them a chance to taste college football so "the younguns" might want to give it another shot next year.Rockydog wrote: Sat Nov 04, 2023 3:15 pm And VERY few (if any), of the younger guys/red shirts have gotten any reps. It’s 47-0 with 7:54 left in the 3rd Q.
Watching the game was difficult. Myers Hendrickson was supposed to be a promising young play caller, but we have had no offensive production for several weeks in a row. Despite poor special teams and defensive play, the lack of offense falls on the head coach. Our offensive line is struggling, which could be due to recruiting, coaching, or development in the weight room. There are rumblings that the line coaches may be unprepared for the role they’re in, and there are conflicting reports about the strength program. I hear the players seem to like the staff, but I’ve heard they’re not being pushed enough in the weight room. We are clearly behind the rest of the conference in terms of building muscle, gaining mass, and speed.
