I know this is not popular amognst most local supporters, but yes move on!

WIU needs an are in change and  positive movement forward. The past 10-12 years indicate all on board are unfortunately disrecspted by the State. However, change is inevitbly, and these policitcal issues hopefully get resolved at reasonable level.

Are some academic programs hit harder than others?

For the Unit B layoffs, it hit Computer Sciences, Management and Marketing, and Communication pretty hard.

I am close with several, amazing employees being laid off, this round really stings despite already having the major I graduated in 2017 cut.
How many more rounds of layoffs are going to happen before we get a competent president and leadership in place?

I may be the only one thinking this, but Western has shot themselves in the foot way too many times in regards to who they hire and then realize the disaster they have walked into. How much of our budget woes are due to insane amounts the university has had to pay out over lawsuits, "negotiations", and the like?

You and I both agree on this. I attended from 2015-2017 and am incredibly thankful for what i learned at Western. The university hasn’t had stable leadership since Goldfarb. The closest thing we’ve had was Dr.abraham attempting to set the ship straight and then being forced out due to “micromanaging”.

Bottom line is that our university has failed us with a revolving door of excuses and instability.

positive change needs to happen sooner than later.

How many years before our kids will signup for a 100% online education and will communicate only with a chatbot virtual professor?  Probably already happening in some places in the world.

Like, how many years until that's an option, or how many years until that's everyone's experience?
I don't think it'll ever be everyone's experience, but we're pretty close to it being an option currently. 100% online...schools have been doing that for a while, WIU has some majors you can complete 100% online. AI chatbot virtual professor...probably available for schools to purchase in a few years.
