Yeesh.
They are a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U ... stitutions
Mostly really small colleges and community colleges. East-West University competes independently and sponsors M&W basketball, women's volleyball, and dance & cheer team.
Looks like last year they played at Southern Indiana (lost 107-49) and at Chicago State (lost 131-55).
I guess that's just where we're at financially right now. Non-conference home games are either half of a H&H arrangement (like with Green Bay or Central Arkansas), lower division (like Monmouth or St. Ambrose), or really lower division (like East-West).
For reference, here's the full schedule: https://goleathernecks.com/sports/mens- ... l/schedule
Looking at when our winter break is, we'll have a home game against Tennessee Tech on 12/17, away games at Lindenwood, SIUE, and EIU, then a pair of home games on 1/9 and 1/11 against UT Martin and Tennessee State. Otherwise, the students should be around for the rest of the games.

I remember back in the 70s a team of pretty decent college-caliber players called Athletes In Action (AIA) would travel the country and be good for a game on your schedule. Yes, WIU took on AIA in 1972-73 season and won 86-76. AIA is still around these days but it looks like their schedule is against much lower completition (prep schools, low college JV squads, etc.)
Embrace the pace of the race.

I still don know why the OVC is scheduling the home game with Eastern Illinois on a Thursday. I would think the OVC would scheduled that game on a Saturday.
