WIU continues their West Coast trip with a game against Pepperdine tonight at 8pm.  This is the first game of the season for Pepperdine. The Waves have a new coach in Ed Schilling. They have 12 new players and only 2 returnees. Pepperdine was 13-20 last season.

Todorovic reminds me of Riley Minix from Morehead St last year.  BTW, Minix is now playing for the Spurs.

1st half went ok I thought, but 2nd half things got a sloppy with lots of unforced turnovers, lots of quick shooting, and a random technical on Knox that even the ESPN broadcasters were guessing about what he did wrong. However, this could simply be a biproduct of having so many new faces that are still learning how to play together, and what this teams "style" is going to be. Hoping to get up to Macomb next week for the Green Bay game to watch them in person.

My two cents.  We did not match up with their size very well.  The big forward Todorovic had a career night against us scoring wise.  We need more point production from the big guys in the paint to offset that else we will be forced to rely on shots going from the perimeter and they were not going last nite.  This is not a new probllem.  I have seen it for the last decade at least.
