Coaching Changes/Player transfers 2024/25
UNI has named Drake coach Todd Stepsis has their new coach. I think he was a name some were mentioning for the WIU job, fans that is, I don't think any college football people were mentioning him for the WIU job. Anyway it will be interesting to see how he does. He wasn't listed in any of the names I was seeing linked to the UNI job.
Matt Entz was named the new HC at Fresno State.
For those of you who may not remember, he was our DC in 2013. Went to NDSU, working his way up to HC, and was LB coach at USC last year.

And now our 2012 O-line coach has a FBS HC job. Jason Eck, HC at Idaho for the last 3 years (and OC at SDSU for 3 years before that) has accepted the gig as HC at New Mexico.

What do you think? Do most athletic programs even bother conducting formal national searches, interviews, etc. for their head coaches or do they just target who they want and put enough dollars on the table to make it happen?

Clemson added SEMO transfer WR Tristan Smith: https://sports.yahoo.com/clemson-finall ... 22228.html
For reference, Smith finished 5th in the BS/OVC in yards per game with 77.8 and had 6 TDs this season. Our own WR Matthew Henry led the league with 100.9 ypg and also had 6 TDs. So, it seems likely that Henry will be getting power-conference interest.

He (Henry) has incredibe hands and body control. The film from the Lindenwood game is all you need to toss him an offer.ST_Lawson wrote: Tue Dec 17, 2024 8:25 am Clemson added SEMO transfer WR Tristan Smith: https://sports.yahoo.com/clemson-finall ... 22228.html

Eck, Howle (Penn state), Blazek (Wisconsin) and Yelk (eagles) are all doing great things since their sabbatical in Macomb. Nielsen and fisher did great in identifying talent with the limited resources available.ST_Lawson wrote: Sat Dec 14, 2024 5:51 pm And now our 2012 O-line coach has a FBS HC job.
