Nielson was to college football what Tom Landry was to the pro game with the way he dressed and carried himself along the sidelines.  Only missing that Fedora hat.  Class act on and off the field.

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out. A good coach but never liked him. There’s more than just winning games

Personally, I agree. I don't consider the fact that he lied to the football team about leaving was a "class act".

I would think this late in the game Tenn St probably just names an assistant coach as their new head coach.

It looks like Tenn. St isn't going the assistant route they are doing interviews. There were rumors they were hiring Jeff Fisher but I think I saw those were debunked.

Just saw Reggie Barlow, the now former coach of the DC Defenders in the UFL, will be the new coach at Tenn St.

Not OVC news but I see Eric Henderson of SDSU is going to be the next head coach at Drake.

In other basketball news from the Summit, St Thomas picked up a commitment from a 4 star recruit today. The recruit originally signed with Miami (FL) and transferred after their coach left, then he transferred to Iowa and left there after their coach was fired.
