WIU plays at Drake today at 2pm, I think this is a game WIU can win. Drake is 1-6 on the season and are coming off a loss to fellow OVC member Lindenwood. Drake's only win was their first game of the season against OVC member Eastern Illinois. A common opponent was Iowa were Drake lost 100-58. Drake leads the all-time series 25-1, with WIU's only win coming in 1992. The last time they played was in 2019.

Looks like we did better than they did against Iowa, and they're currently below Bradley (who we already beat this season), so I agree that this should be a winnable game as long as we play as well as we did against Bradley or Iowa.

The game is on ESPN+ in case anyone wants to tune in.

McCowan on fire which is good thing as they have bottled up Nicastro pretty well.

WIU pulls out the win 80-74, after leading by 20 at the half, Drake got it down to 5 I think and Western hung on for the victory. McCowan fouled out early in the 4th qtr.

Great win against tradition rich Drake women's basketball.  Up by 22 was nice and fought off Drake comeback.  Kaylen Reed and Allie Meadows perfect at free throw line to preserve win.  Have a chance for a special season still early yet.

Five of last six conference games are in Macomb this year, including the finale against preseason #1 pick Lindenwood.  Applies to the men as well.  The schedule God was very good to us this year.
