Just saw today that Keokuk has a 6'10" kid who is averaging over 30 ppg and 16 rebounds a game and he is unsigned. He scored 50pts in a game this season. Would be a nice get for WIU, besides the potential, getting a local kid is never a bad thing.He supposedly has offers from Illinois St and Indiana St, haven't seen anything about a WIU offer and doubt he would come here if those 2 schools are offering but something to keep an eye on. His name is Jaxon Clark.
He had a visit from Matt Painter over the offseason and Fran Mccaffery while he was the Iowa coach. I'm convinced he'll land somewhere bigger than us. Also, he moved to Florida to a prep academy and moved back. Not sure if anyone follows or has watched Quincy University. I see 2 of their players have entered the portal and both players are followed by current assistants at WIU. Maybe they were following them before they announced they were transferring, but just wondering if anyone that saw them think they are D1 players.
