Former player David Nurse (under Coach Mo I believe) might be an interesting hire or at least a guy to talk with to see what needs to be done to turn things around.
Seems to be doing pretty well in the business world with NBA and corporate contacts.  I think I have one of his books somewhere in my house.
Would be sort of like a Joe Moglia football hire, coming from the business world.  If he still has the fire, why not take a chance on him.

I like the div 2 coaches Scott had listed.  The coach from N Michigan looks good.  Matt Margenthaler at Mankato has done a real good job he played at Western after Iowa St. for his Dad Jack.  Jack was the Coach when I was a student he won about half his games we let him go but not til he was there for 15 years.  Wish we had him back.  I want someone who has been a head coach before and been successful not below div 2.  Not an asst below div 2 like Chad Beaudreu and others like Billy Wright at Western.

My 2 cents.  Huggy Bear or get Ryan Twaddle to come back to Macomb.  Ryan's longevity at Carl Sandburg speaks volumes.  Has them playing well this year.  He is very accustomed to not having kids around for too long.  lol

Update:  Maybe I am a bit biased as I played baseball for the Chargers one year way back in the 70s.  But I was a huge fan of the hoops team too that year under Coach Hungate. Rode the CSC fan bus to the NJCAA tournament in Danville that year too.  Are we chartering a fan bus to Evansville this year to watch the ladies?  I have done the drive and its not a good one.  A bus with a keggar on it would be much preferred.   Oh the good ole days of yesteryear.

I ultimately say we have to move on because it's just so bad this year, but I think Chad kind of got the shaft. I'm not as low on program prospects as others in this forum. We should be able to compete in this conference, we were literally just doing that. I also think paying for a name coach would be silly. Go get somebody who has built a program under these same circumstances from the lower levels and let them do their thing.

I can assure you Paul Bubb did not fire all of Chad's assistant coaches.  In fact, Bubb fired none of them.  It was either Chad's call or the assistant left on their own.  That's an absurd comment to make.  No need to start making up things.  If you don't know, don't comment.
