Finally the season is over, was embarrassing.

Time to clear house and get the head coach hot board going.

Got my approval to hire a new mens basketball coach. What a long and terrible season. The question is will AD Paul A Bubb hire another coach with no head coaching experience above div 2? Chad Beaudreau was a head coach at Highland in Freeport but Div 1 basketball ain't junior college ball. How about head coach from N Michigan as Scott Lawson listed.

Don't think WIU can afford to buy out last year on Chad's contract, so hoping he can recruit some better players to go with Danny Stephens.

Did he get a 4-year contract? I don't know that I ever heard, but it seems like usually a first-time HC goes with a 3-year contract. If it's 3-year, then we can let him go this week. If 4, then idk...we probably can't buy it out unless it's REALLY cheap. At this point I feel like he'd prefer to get a job closer to his family, maybe an assistant gig at Milwaukee or NIU.
