What's up with Iowa and Iowa State??????

I know we are all less than thrilled with the transfer portal and NIL in sports, but what is going on with Iowa and Iowa State? Particularly in women's basketball - several players hitting the portal (and I figured these would be schools with bigger budgets than most). Are coaches leaving, do the coaches not do right by the players, do the players have inflated egos, just what the heck is happening? I'm confused.

I get the minutes they get to play, but now the "top dog" at Iowa State has entered the portal. I don't follow Iowa or Iowa State, but these defections have made a lot of news - and my understanding is that Addy had tons of playing time, so it has to be more than just that, I would think.

I'm beginning to like college sports less and less every day....................
