On offense, we are very good at "chunk" plays but not so good at sustaining long drives which wear down the opponent defense.  That usually comes back to haunt a team come 4th quarter time.

Don't seem to have much a run game besides McGill.

Well whoever is rushing the ball the Necks are averaging the most rushing yards for any WIU team in well over a decade.  Tops in the OVC and 19th nationally.

My biggest issue is they neglect the run to early in the game we got one of the top RB from a better league last year and we don't use him enough

The OVC is pretty weak this year. Only one team (SEMO) has a winning record right now.  For comparison, the MVFC has 5 teams with a current winning record.
In fact, after looking at the Massey ratings site, only one other FCS conference (Northeast) is lower with 0 team winning records at this point in the season.  On the plus side, you have to like our chances to sneak into the playoffs if the ball bounces our way a little more often than not.

That's the great thing about the FCS playoff model...it doesn't matter how good or bad your conference is, you get an autobid. If you win the conference, you have  a spot in the playoffs. At this point though, it feels like SEMO is likely to take it.
