So....for some reason I just thought I might visit some other websites such as AGS. Not sure what I would find, but I was intrigued with all of the chatter regarding who and who did not make the playoffs. The Necks have received big time support from the Bison fans. Of course the UND fans don't quite see it, but interesting enough, a lot wonder not necessarily about the Necks as much as the EIU Panthers! No matter, for years I have heard the "strength of schedule" argument in regards to the NCAA Basketball Tournament and I think we all can say that finally, SOS is the reason the Necks are on their way to Dayton this coming weekend. Western Carolina played two "biggies" and one D11 school and got left out with a 7-4 record. I guess they have financial problems too and the two "biggies" are only going to help a strapped financial situation. So do I think the Necks belong in this field of 24, absolutely! Strength of schedule, strength of their schedule in the end is the reason! No excuses, no apologies, go Necks!!

I'm glad somebody said it. No reason to feel bad at all. Western deserved this, no doubt. Six victories was the threshold, they met it....end of story. Quality over quantity.
